The causative form expresses making or letting someone do something.

Drop る and add させる.

食(た)べる→食(た)べさせる

私(わたし)にやらせてください。Please let me do it.

子供(こども)を外(そと)で遊(あそ)ばせる。Let the children play outside.

Context determines whether the causative means “make” (force) or “let” (allow). Adding てあげる or てくれる clarifies permission.

行(い)かせてあげる。I'll let you go.

食(た)べさせてくれた。They let me eat.
